Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) Scholarship: Target Reached or Missed?

Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) scholarship is one of the scholarships that have many enthusiasts and still a hot issue in world education until now. The problem arising from recipient students are considered to more consumptive lifestyle than regular students. This study aims analyze whether exemplary on target or needs include mission purpose itself. Furthermore, this research qualitative with descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through three instruments: observation, interviews, documentation, called data triangulation. Interviews conducted by questioning 5 respondents who received scholarship. After that, has been collected analyzed make deeper interpretation stages, namely reduction, presentation, conclusion drawing. Based results found, it can be concluded cost for target, while living deviating its primary purpose.
